He is noted for his early work on the Industrial liquefaction of air, for the invention and commercialization of Neon Lighting and for a large experiment of generating energy by pumping cold sea water up from deapths. He is known for Claude cycle, Neon Lighting, and Ocean energy conversion.He got the Leconte Prize in 1921. He born on 24th September 1870 and died on23rd May 1960.
